Can nba players wear jewelry

So I was watching an NBA game the other night, and I noticed that some players had chains or bracelets on, but then I remembered hearing something about jewelry being banned in sports for safety reasons. It got me thinking—can NBA players actually wear jewelry during games? I mean, I've seen LeBron with his headband and stuff, but I'm not sure if that counts. I tried looking it up online, but the info was kinda all over the place. Some sites said it's totally fine, others mentioned fines or rules against it. I'm a big basketball fan, been following the league since I was a kid, and this just popped into my head while I was chilling on my couch. Maybe it depends on the type of jewelry? Like, are rings allowed if they're not flashy? Or is it a strict no-no because someone could get hurt? I dunno, it's one of those random questions that keeps nagging at me.
